Heroes and villains to perform at 9th world hit festival
6/21/2012 | For all you 'Heroes and Villains' fans out there, get ready! Because they'll be attending the famous 9th World Hit Festival!
It has been confirmed today by their record label 'Black Stone Rec' that Dragion's own 'Heroes and Villains' will be participating in the 9th World Hit Festival. This is a rather pleasant surprise considering Iron Monkey's participation in the upcoming WorldVision.
INSIDE THE BAND:
'Heroes and Villains' is an alternative rock/pop band that consists of four members: Travis Brooks (21 - Lead Singer/Guitar ), Quinton 'Quint' Adams (19 - Bass ), Damius 'Dami' Wright (23 - Drums), and Clovis Brown (24 - Second Guitar ). The band was formed in the suburbs of Edinburgh Kenpool in 2008 by lead singer Travis and his cousin Damius. Quinton and Clovis (who were friends of the two) joined later on. During this time, the band had started off performing gigs at local cafe's and other small venues. It wasn't until 2010 that HAV received it's first break after they won the second annual Dragion's Band Competition in Sudbury. Beating out 30 other bands nationwide, the group went on to start their first album entitled 'Beast City' which topped the 'Dragion Billboard' album charts and remained there for three consecutive months. The album sold over 3 million dracs in it's first month.
Heroes and Villains is known for their unique sound and engaging music which sets them apart from the other bands in Dragion. The four members have played instruments since they were 10-13.
The group got their name from a long love of superheros and villains. Travis and Quinton are known as the 'heroes' while Damius and Clovis are known as the 'villains'. During many of their performances the group will wear caps before throwing them out into the crowd.
Although they have come a long way from Travis garage, the group remains humble and very enthusiastic about their seemingly overnight success.
You can watch Heroes and Villains perform at the 9th World Hit Festival right here LIVE at MixTV. The event will also be streamed on this website.
